            Founded in 1977 by Jim Knott, James F. Knott Realty Group is a full service real estate firm with commercial, industrial, office, retail and residential holdings. Mr. Knott started his business as a homebuilder and since then has concentrated primarily on office and industrial projects. The firm has developed and constructed in excess of four million square feet of office and industrial space for lease. James F. Knott Realty is a locally owned and family operated company with Mr. Knott serving as President and CEO, his son James F. Knott, Jr. serving as Senior Vice President of Development, and his daughter Carroll Knott McGill serving as a Development Consultant. Bob Hamilton, the firm’s Chief Operating Officer with over 20 years of commercial real estate experience oversees the daily operations.

            James F. Knott Property Management Company manages the Realty Group’s residential and commercial properties on a daily basis, overseeing tenant fit outs and interior and exterior maintenance. Excellent care is taken of the properties because the Knott organization appreciates the value of curb appeal as much as their clients do. General maintenance of the buildings is important since the focus for the company is to build and maintain their portfolio for the long term.

            The firm’s highlighted residential development is Bowling Brook Farms a 260 acre development encompassing 1,200 townhomes, 366 apartments and a health club. James F. Knott Realty is also well known for the development, construction and management of Beechtree Golf Club which is now slated for redevelopment to accommodate 750 homes to meet the growing housing demand in Harford County.
